After the Bank Holiday recess, the Pembroke and Pembroke Dock Quiz League resumed, with the Station A as question setters. The week's results mean the league title goes down to the wire with the last round on May 11 and the Charlton A setting the questions. The leaders, Station B, travelled to the Alma to play their A side and returned to the Station as the night's highest scorers and a good win under their belt to remain top. However, the Cosh Brewery Inn team made the journey to play St. Govan's Inn A and also claimed a convincing victory to keep up the pressure and stay one point behind the Station B. So the last round sees the leaders travelling to play St. Govan's Inn B, no gimme, whilst the Brewery side have a tough task entertaining third place First & Last who held them to a draw earlier in the season. Tightest match of the last round was at the Oak where the visiting St. Govan's Inn B held them to a draw. The First & Last entertained the Charlton A whose woeful run continued as the home side claimed a win which took them back to third in the table. The Charlton B had the Naval Club as their opponents and the visitors went home happy with a good win whilst in the round's final game at the Golf Club the visiting Alma B went down to another high score by the homesters. The night's results were; First & Last 65 Charlton A 41; Oak 64 St. Govan's Inn B 64; St. Govan's Inn A 49 Cosh Brewery 74; Charlton B 37 Naval Club 58; Golf Club 74 Alma B 50 and Alma A 59 Station B 75. This leaves the top of the table as: Station B 51, Cosh Brewery 50, First & Last 46, Station A 45, Alma A 42 and Naval Club 38.
