This week's question setters were the Station B who set an average set of questions, resulting in some very close encounters.
The Naval Club almost caused an upset in their home fixture with the leaders, Station A, pushing them right to the wire, but failing on the last question in round six when they were unfortunate to get the only question nobody on either team knew the answer to, so it really could have gone either way.
The Alma B moved in to second spot on points scored after their win over the visiting First and Last, whilst in another close finish at the Charlton, the home A team held off the challenge of the Alma A by just two points. The Charlton B travelled to the Oak and yet another close game ensued, with the Oak prevailing by five points.
What could be considered the surprise of the week saw St. Govan's making the trip to Cosh Brewery and overwhelming last year's champions by 11 points.
All this means the leaders, Station A, the round's top scorers, extend their lead at the top of the table to nine points, on 30 points, with the Alma B and Station B on 21, the Alma team having scored more round points, but the Station team have a game in hand. The Charlton B stay fourth on 18, with Cosh Brewery and the Alma A having 16.
Results for the week were: Cosh Brewery 59 St. Govan's Inn 70; Naval Club 69 Station A 73; Charlton A 66 Alma A 64; Oak 66 Charlton B 61 and Alma B 65 First and Last 41.
