Pembroke and Monkton Local History Society held the first Quiz Night of its 2018/19 programme on Friday, September 21 at Monkton Church Hall, where competition was fierce, resulting in a tie!

The Society’s Quiz Master, Rose (Town Crier) Blackburn was unfortunately ill but Frank stepped in to save the day – and performed extremely well.

As usual, the members of the History Society Committee provided a superb buffet which was enjoyed by all.

Rachel Norman organised the Raffle and £136 was raised for Society funds.

The next Quiz Night will take place on Friday, November 16 at Monkton Church Hall 7.30 pm.
