Recently an act featuring 'The Dance of the Swans', based very loosely on 'Swan Lake' and performed by Pembroke Rotarians at one of their many annual concerts in the Pater Hall, Pembroke Dock, over the years, was featured on the ITV show 'You've Been Framed'.

In this particular number, which involved suitably costumed gentlemen of various physical builds and ages dressed as swans twirling and hopping like dancing dervishes, one unfortunate swan lost his tutu as it fell around his ankles. This moving event involving the late Dr. Victor Davies certainly added to the hilarity of the act and indeed called for an encore.

For over 20 years these shows filled the Pater Hall and were a big feature of the town's entertainment programme. They were directed and largely scripted by Frank Harries and his wife Teresa and were vividly costumed. Over the years, in excess of over £50,000 was raised for charity. Frank, now in his 80s, is still occasionally involved in producing acts of this sort.
