Paul Sartori, Pembrokeshire’s only Hospice at Home Service, has undergone a relocation to new premises from Haven Road to Winch Lane (behind the Leisure Centre on St Thomas’ Green) this year; a new logo; a new website to be launched officially at the forthcoming AGM – all during a special celebratory year.
During April this year, Paul Sartori held a special service, to not only celebrate its 35th anniversary, but also the origins of the Foundation and its namesake Father Paul Sartori. The memorial service was an opportunity for friends of the Foundation to come together and celebrate an extraordinary man and the inspiration for the renowned Hospice at Home service.
Another milestone has been the recent move and Paul Sartori have received considerable support from various sources enabling this to happen. Judith Williams, Funding & Projects Coordinator at Paul Sartori added, “We would not be in this position had it not been for these successful applications to progress certain investments. The Wolfson Foundation have been the major funder offering an award of £90,000 towards the cost of refurbishing the new head office. The Garfield Weston Foundation gave £25,000 towards the costs relating to the relocation. And locally, we have been supported by the Port of Milford Haven, as their chosen charity of the year, and their ongoing donations have contributed towards reception, among other items.”
Sandra Dade, Charity Manager at Paul Sartori was keen to state “We want to assure our local supporters that money has not been taken from charity funds to pay for the recent investment. The Board of Trustees is passionate about retaining gifts and donations from the general public for their intended purpose – in contributing towards the renowned care that we provide in the county”.
A new logo has also been launched and states what the charity does – “Paul Sartori Hospice at Home” – this is now on all stationery. The new website for Paul Sartori will be officially launched at the AGM at Paul Sartori House, Winch Lane, Haverfordwest on Wednesday 29th November 2017 starting at 6pm, with a tour of the new facilities on offer at 5pm. If members of the public are interested in attending they are asked to call 01437 763223 or email [email protected].
