More amazing Christmas spirit was shown in the community of Tenby on Monday evening, when over 300 free festive dinners were delivered to the doors of the town’s senior citizens.

In a normal year, pre-pandemic, Tenby’s senior citizens would be this month be enjoying a get-together at the De Valence to enjoy their Christmas dinner with some refreshments and entertainment.

However, for the second year running, thanks to the Qube Restaurant and Cove, Tenby Round Table, Tenby town council and all the volunteers and businesses that have supported and helped, dinners were delivered safely to the doors of those over 65 that had requested them.

The Qube prepared a traditional dish of roast turkey, seasonal vegetables, homemade gravy and all the trimmings, as well as vegetarian options of vegetable wellington - and to finish, a delicious homemade trifle!

Qube owner Matthew Ronowitz said a big thanks to all those that helped; whilst the town’s Mayor, Clr. Mrs. Sam Skyrme-Blackhall who also leant a helping hand, remarked: “It was a good night, with great community spirit shown once again!”

Next Monday, Penally’s senior citizens will also enjoy free festive dinners delivered to their doors.
