Pembroke Ladies Lifeboat Guild are reflecting on what was a brilliant 2019 for the organisation.
The organisation raised over £3,000 with the monies going to the RNLI in Pembroke Dock.
Many events were held across last year, such as the Pembroke Ladies Guild Christmas buffet lunch which was held at the Officers Mess in Castlemartin.
This wonderful serving of savoury and sweet items are donated every year at this event by members of Pembroke Ladies Guild.
The Guild are hugely grateful for the use of this historic venue within Castlemartin Camp, courtesy of the British Army, by arrangement with Dan Gibson, Camp Commandant.
Over £1,500 was raised for the RNLI - Guild members time and generosity, donations from supporters, over 60 guests attending made these amazing funds possible.
President Jennie McIntosh invited Caroline and Sharon, of the Kilgetty Pharmacy, to join Guild members and supporters at the Annual Lunch, in celebration of their raising over £900 for the RNLI by walking the ‘Miners Walk’ in September.
Carolyn and Sharon have raised thousands of pounds walking for the charity, sponsored by their customers and the Kilgetty Pharmacy.
The Guild would like to say thanks to all those who made this possible.
Jennie, joined by husband Doug, chose a beautiful November day for their ‘Miners?Walk’.
Jennie, sponsored by friends and family, raised over £350 for the RNLI.
2019 was also a good year for members; two new ones joined in November with three more joining last year.
This brings the total of members for Pembroke Ladies Guild to 30.
In February 2020, Pembroke Guild celebrates 71 years of non-stop fundraising in Pembroke and the surrounding area - thanks not only to members volunteering, but generations of supporters and their families.
The next event will be held on February 28 when Pembroke and District Male Voice Choir will be performing at Pembroke Town Hall.
