Tenby town council are planning to hold an ‘open evening’ to explain what it means to be a local councillor in an attempt to encourage more people to consider standing.

The town clerk recently notified Pembrokeshire County Council, of two vacancies in the South ward and one in the North, after three more members recently handed in their resignations.

“If no elections are called by next Tuesday, then the town council will be in a position to co-opt again,” the town clerk Andrew Davies explained.
