MR. D. E. PAXTON

KILGETTY(Tenby)

As previously reported, the sudden death occurred on Saturday, February 20, of Mr. Denny E. Paxton, aged 23 years.

Denny was born on April 5, 1992, in Leicester. He was born with only one kidney, but this never stopped him in anything he did.

He moved to Tenby with his family when he had just turned four. He attended Tenby Infants School, Tenby Junior School and Greenhill School, where he was a member of Pride and helped make many walkways around Pembrokeshire.

He later became a student at Pembrokeshire College, and was also a member of the Army Cadets; he also played and loved watching rugby.

He had many jobs, but his last place of employment was at Celvac. Every job Denny undertook, people would say what a polite and hard worker he was.

Denny was a well-known character; he brought joy, smiles, laughter and touched hearts wherever he went.

His main interest in life was his family and friends, whom he adored; his dad Terry, his mum Jane, his older brother Stephan, his younger sisters Roxy and Casie and his younger brother Malley; also all his nieces, Nana Tess, Nana Gill and Pete.

He also had many uncles, aunties, cousins and other family members and friends too numerous to mention.

When his son Joie was born, he was one of the proudest fathers you could wish to meet; he absolutely doted on him.

The funeral took place at St. Mary’s Parish Church, Tenby, on March 8.

Officiating at the service was the Rector, Rev. Canon Andrew Grace, while readings were given by Ryan Morgan and Roxy Paxton and the books of condolence by Simon Boulton and Richard Boyd.

Hymns sung were ‘All Things Bright and Beautiful’ and ‘Guide Me O Thou Great Redeemer,’ and at the crematorium, ‘The Old Rugged Cross’. Songs ‘Never Want to Close My Eyes’, by Aerosmith, and ‘Down Town’, by Petula Clark, were also played at St. Mary’s, while at the crematorium the songs were ‘Fairytale of New York’, by the Pogues, and ‘As Long as we Beat the English’, by the Stereophonics.

Bearers were Ryan Morgan, William Cowan, Eddie Dounahey, Adam Culleton, Chris John and Jimmy Cowan.

Floral tributes in loving memory were received from family members, but if desired, donations in lieu of flowers may be made for Kidney Research Wales, c/o Messrs W. and M. J. Rossiter and Sons Ltd, The Old Rectory, The Norton, Tenby, who carried out the funeral arrangements.
