The funeral took place on Friday, August 14, of Mrs. Edith Ann Evans, nee Morris, who passed away on July 29, at Inverclyde Royal Hospital, Greenock, in Scotland, aged 93.
Born at the Foundry, Wiseman’s Bridge, the family later moved to the Lodge, Redberth. Predeceased by her five siblings, Willie, Bertie, Kathleen, Ivor and Lilian, she was the youngest child of James and Florence Morris, of Redberth.
She was married in February 1942, in Blackpool, to Ronald Owen John Evans, of Saundersfoot. After the war they made their home in Redberth, where their only child Pat was born.
The family were members of St. Mary’s Church, Redberth.
Following Ron’s death in November, 1985, Edith moved to Aberdeenshire, Scotland, to be near Pat and her family, later moving to Clackmannanshire, and finally to Inverclyde.
Edith leaves to mourn Pat and Colin (daughter and son-in-law), David and Debbie (grandson), Victoria and Ashton (granddaughter) Brooke (great-granddaughter) and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral service, written by the Rev. Victoria Sibley-Bentley (granddaughter) and conducted by the Rev. Carolyn Wood, took place at St. Mary’s Church, Redberth, followed by interment in the churchyard.

Tenby
The death occurred peacefully on Monday, at Woodland Lodge Care Home, Gumfreston, of Mr. Wooder Wickland BEM. He was aged 89.
Wooder was predeceased by his wife Thrisa, but is survived by daughter Sandra, son and daughter-in-law John and Andrea, granddaughter Kim and her husband Gary, granddaughter Michelle and her husband Roy, grandson Christopher and his wife Tracey, and great-grandchildren.
The funeral service takes place on Monday, September 7, 11.30 am, at St. Mary’s Church, Tenby, and will be followed by interment at Tenby New Cemetery.
There will be family flowers only.

The death occurred peacefully at Caldey Grange Care Home, Pentlepoir, on Friday, August 21, of Mr. Donald Evans, aged 89 years.
Don will be missed by all of his family and friends.

It is with great sadness that the family of the Rev. John Pullin (Missionary and former Minister of Deer Park Baptist Church and Cold Inn Baptist Church) announce his death on August 13 in Brazil.
He leaves to mourn his wife Lidia, his children Nigel, Elizabeth and Sara, grandchildren Jessica, Ciaran, Laura, Cerys, Joshua, Tua Tama and Tahni. He was predeceased by his wife Yvonne in 1990.

The death of Jean Cater occurred on Friday, August 14, at Lakeside Nursing Home in Roath, Cardiff, aged 87.
Jean was the wife of the late Vernon Cater (Manorbier), who worked for British Rail following his World War II service in the Royal Navy.
Jean leaves three children - Janet, Raydene and Ian - along with seven grandchildren and five great-grand-children. She is also survived by her two sisters, Eileen Lewis (Majorca, previously Amroth) and Valerie Hicks (Carew).
Jean was born at RAF Cranwell, Lincolnshire, living with her mother Ivy Murdoch, and her father, Alexander Murdoch, who was serving in the Royal Air Force. The family moved to Manorbier when Jean’s father was posted to Pembroke Dock where he was an aircraft engineer maintaining the ‘Sunderland’ sea planes. Jean subsequently worked at the Electricity Board in Pembroke Dock.
After marrying Vernon in 1949, the newly married couple took rooms in Pembroke Dock. Their daughter Janet was born in 1952 and following a move to Marshfield, near Newport, where Vernon was the railway station master, Raydene was born in 1956. Following the closure of Marshfield station, Jean and Vernon moved to Cardiff, where Ian was born in 1965.
Jean instilled in her children strong loving family values, which have been passed down the generations. Jean and Vernon provided tireless support to their family, always being on hand to help as needed. Despite a long illness, Jean always had a smile for her family. May she rest in peace.
The funeral service took place yesterday (Thursday) at Thornhill Crematorium, Cardiff.
