A life-saving defibrillator located at Tenby’s North Beach has once again been vandalised.
Tenby and Saundersfoot First Responders recently appealed to the public to contact the police if they witness any lifesaving defibrillators around the area being damaged, after an incident where one of the cabinets enlcosing ‘heart-starter’ devices by the North Beach was smashed.
Now barely a month since the last time, the front of the cabinet has been smashed again.
“The Defib is now in the North Beach cafe until further notice, meaning it is only available during business hours, as opposed to the normal 24 hours,” said local First Responder Ben James.
“Anyone with information, please ring 101 and let the Police know.
“We place defibrillators out into the community, for the benefit of the whole community.
“It just makes you wonder what goes on in the mind of a person that thinks it’s acceptable to deliberately damage a piece of lifesaving equipment and in the case of the Tesco defibrillator cabinet, this has happened several times,” he stated.
