March 17 was a day of celebrations at Ashdale Care Home, Pembroke. Not only was it St. Patrick's Day with Irish celebrations for their Saint and the Six Nations win (Wales of course was delighted with their score of over half a century), we also had the greatest pleasure of celebrating, along with family and friends, our Peggy's (Margaret Humber) 103rd birthday. John Smith also celebrated his 96th birthday on Sunday. Leprechauns joined in the fun with plenty to eat, birthday cake, Guinness, lager and Irish cream liqueur. Irish music and dancing on the TV made for a raucous afternoon.
