New ‘traffic order’ proposals for some areas of Tenby have been welcomed by local councillors.
Correspondence regarding the plans came before members of the town council from Pembrokeshire County Council’s head of highways and construction, Darren Thomas, at their meeting on Tuesday night.
Various measures are proposed in Tenby, including: ‘No waiting at any time’ to assist traffic movements, at The Glebe (in the turning area near No. 99); the new Greenhill School access south of the junction with Heywood Lane; Serpentine Road at the junction with Heywood Lane and the junction with Broadwell Hayes.
The relocation of the Greenhill School access on Heywood Lane has repositioned the existing 20-minute limited waiting bay.
A proposal has also been touted to remove four ‘resident parking spaces’ on Heywood Court that are no longer being used.
Commenting on the proposals at Heywood Lane, Clr. Trevor Hallett said that if they helped prevent traffic jams, then he would support them.
