Last month, the annual and general meeting of Saundersfot Community Council was held, when Clr. Phil Baker proposed that Clr. Martyn Williams BEM be elected as chairman for the term 2018/19.

Outgoing chairman, Clr. Anthony Mattick, passed the chain of office to Clr. Williams BEM and wished him all the best for the ensuing year.

Clr. Rosemary Hayes MBE proposed that Clr. Steve John be elected as the council’s vice-chairman, with her colleagues Clr. Cleevely and Clr. Boughton-Thomas seconding the proposal.

Clr. Williams paid tribute to the vision displayed by Clr. Mattick throughout his term of office. He congratulated him on his meticulous attention to detail, and also Clr. John on his appointment as vice-chairman and said that he looked forward to a good relationship in the interests of Saundersfoot.
