Fans of rock band Feeder will have to wait a little longer to see them play Pembrokeshire, as their gig scheduled for next week has now been postponed.

The band formed in Newport known for hits such as Buck Rogers and Just The Way I’m Feeling who have scored 11 top 20 singles and seven top 10 albums, were due to play Narberth venue The Queen’s Hall next Friday (January 14) - but in light of yesterday’s announcement by Wales’ First Minister Mark Drakeford, that alert level 2 measures will stay in place following the outcome of the latest regulations review, meaning that indoor events remain affected, the band’s gig has been rescheduled for March.

The venue had admitted last week that they were in limbo with any updates on whether the gig could take place, stating that they had received ‘no information’ from the Welsh Government as to what dates would continue to be affected by the restrictions, which are being reviewed weekly.

Providing an update today (January 7) the Queen’s Hall stated: “Following the announcement last night by Welsh Government, it is with great disappointment we confirm the Feeder gig on January 14 at the Hall has now been postponed until March 11, 2022.

“All original tickets remain valid and if you cannot make the new date, please contact your point of purchase (the ticket provider) for any enquiries or a refund.

“Please do not purchase tickets from anyone attempting to resell on our social media pages. All genuine ticket holders who cannot come will be refunded at point of purchase, all legitimate resell tickets will be advertised via Ticket Link in due course.

“We thank you for your patience while waiting for this announcement. Many thanks again to you all during these testing times,” they added.

The last live music event to take place at the Narberth venue, before restrictions on indoor and outdoor events were reintroduced by the Welsh Government was the Goldie Lookin Chain gig on December 18.
