Despite a chilly but dry morning, a large gathering of people supported the Coffee Morning held in aid of Barnardo’s at the RAOB Club in Narberth recently.

The ‘Cake Table’ and ‘Tombola Stall’ were soon emptied and the morning yielded £476 in total.

The raffle prizes were won by: Betty Thomas (bottle of whisky); Elizabeth Morris (M and S voucher); Mair Bowen (meat voucher); Gwyneth John (miniature whisky set); Anne Thomas (book of first class stamps); Elaine Bradbury (chocolates); Juliet Rossiter (shortbread); Ann Morris (white wine);Mavis Murrell (pot plant); Mavis Murrell (red wine).

At the close of the morning, chairman Ann Morris expressed thanks to all who had attended and supported, all committee members for their instinting charity work, Ann Lonsdale, stewardess, RAOB members, Clive James Design and Print and Signbox, Templeton.

Ann also mentioned that very recently, due to various fundraising events, a cheque had been forwarded to the charity’s HQ for the sum of £3,250.
