Caldey Island Estate is once again very grateful to receive much-needed sponsorship for their thriving red squirrel population.
There are approximately 55 healthy red squirrels on the island which are a joy to watch. It is sincerely hoped that next season the island will re-open to visitors so that they can see for themselves the fascinating antics of these agile and inquisitive little creatures.
Over 300 trees have been planted which will provide food for the squirrels in the future. In the meantime, the sponsorship enables supplementary feeding to take place.
Recent thanks for sponsorship goes to FBM Rentals Department in Pembroke; West Wales Pest Control; and Tenby and District Lions who have been very generous over the past 12 months.
