School children from Monkton Priory School helped to deck the Pembroke Co-op store this Christmas with a window display full of glittering stars and Christmas trees!

The Co-op store manager, Adrian Hooper, wanted a festive display to cheer up local customers and he asked Monkton children to help. Pembrokeshire Communities First Team assisted Year 5 children at Monkton Priory School to make the decorations using old Christmas paper and newsletters as collage material. They then had fun covering the decorations with glitter!

Mr. Hooper said: "What a fantastic job the Monkton schoolchildren did to bring festive cheer to the Co-op store and brighten up Main Street for Christmas!"

The display will be up over the whole of the Christmas period if you want to come down to take a look at the children's work..
