Monkton Priory Holiday Club is in full swing. The Monkton Communities First support team have linked up with the school staff and Friends of the school to secure funding from Pembrokeshire County Council, Chevron and Milford Haven Port Authority.
The holiday club is open for up to 30 children aged eight-10 who attend Monkton Priory CP School. It is based at the primary school in Monkton and is open on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (9.30 am - 4.30 pm) for the first four weeks of the summer holidays.
A variety of fun activities are on offer for the children including environmental art, circus skills, Dragon Sport and street dance sessions.
The holiday club staff have also planned trips to enable the children to get the most out of summer holidays in Pembrokeshire. Last week saw trips to the beach and Manor House.
Stella Hooper, Milford Haven Port Authority's community liaison officer, said: "It's great that our funding was able to support the holiday club and that the children attending are having the opportunity to experience so many activities and explore some of Pembrokeshire's best attractions during the summer holidays."
"Chevron is delighted to support Monkton Priory Holiday Club. This is a great opportunity for children to enjoy a wonderful range of activities in the summer holidays and we know the children thoroughly enjoy the action packed programme," said Jane James, Chevron's policy, government and public affairs manager.
