Pembroke Dock's Mid-Winter Festival has been hailed a success.

The Christmas lantern parade on Friday was attended by around 500 people.

Led by the ATC Band, the procession was a lively spectacle as it made its way from the Youth Centre to Western Way, to see Santa.

Mayor of Pembroke Dock, Clr. Jane Phillips, donned her scarlet robes of office as she gave the event a civic salute.

The finalé - a grand firework display - lit up the night sky too.

The event was organised by the Pembroke Dock Festival Group. If you would like to join the group, volunteers will be welcome. For more information, contact Pembroke Dock Town Council on 01646 684410.

Father Christmas made another special visit to Pembroke Dock on Saturday.

He was at his grotto in the Pater Hall where he welcomed around 300 children - in fact he almost had to make a quick visit to Lapland to get some more!
