Pembroke Town Council member and former Mayor, Clr. Melanie Phillips, has very kindly donated a memorial seat to the townspeople of Pembroke in memory of Henry VII who was born in Pembroke Castle.
Clr. Phillips commented: "Presently, we have nothing in Pembroke to commemorate the first Tudor King, who was born in our castle. Whilst still trying to get a statue to be placed in Pembroke, I thought this would be the next best thing."
The seat is located outside St Mary's Church, blending in nicely with the railings of the church and the new signposts which have recently been erected with the Henry VII finials.
The seat was commissioned by Kevin Rees Ironworks and a thank you goes to Clr. Jenkins for his assistance.
