The Dyfed-Powys public are being urged to tell Police and Crime Commissioner Christopher Salmon about the issues that concern them.

He plans five Your Voice Days around the region in early 2016, with each county of Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and Powys covered.

They include private face-to-face surgeries for individuals along with visits to local groups.

Mr. Salmon wants to hear thoughts, observations and ideas on local crime and policing. The opinions will help him deliver the public’s thoughts to the heart of the police and other key agencies.

He said: “By speaking to me, the public have a direct say in our criminal justice system.

“Local people understand local issues better than anybody and I want to know how their thoughts are evolving.”

Activity on Your Voice Days will include visits to schools, community groups, organisations and police personnel.

The schedule includes Pembroke Dock on January 7.

Mr. Salmon was elected Police and Crime Commissioner in November 2012. He has increased police officer numbers and they spend more time on the beat. He has decreased the amount taxpayers spend on the police; crime and antisocial behaviour are down.

He plans two new sexual assault referral centres and has started a £15m buildings modernisation programme.

Your Voice Day face-to-face surgery bookings for individuals are being taken now as are requests for group meetings - ’phone 01267 226440, email [email protected] or tweet @DPOPCC.
