The Mayor of Tenby wants to introduce an ‘activity progress tracker’ to council meetings, to provide a clear summary of issues raised and decisions made at the table.

Speaking to his colleagues at Tuesday night’s meeting, the Mayor, Clr. Laurence Blackhall, said that the idea of the tracker was to act as a tool for ensuring that issues raised or resolutions of the council were dealt with or fulfilled.

The intention is that at each council meeting, an update of the ‘progress tracker’ will be provided in the papers and taken as an agenda item immediately after matters arising.

Clr. Blackhall explained that it was also a tool for ensuring items don’t slip or continue indefinitely without action.

“The tracker also seeks to identify a timescale in which the activity should take place and which organisation or individual is responsible for progressing it,” he said.

“Once matters are completed or resolved, they will be marked as discontinued and therefore will no longer appear on the tracker,” he added.

Clr. Paul Rapi agreed that it would be a useful tool, as many times items discussed may get forgotten about and it was a way of updating any progress on matters at a glance.
