Mayor of Pembroke Dock, Clr. Peter Kraus, was delighted to attend a garden party organised by Commander Tony Mason, president of the Pembroke Dock Sea Cadets, last week.
Said Clr. Kraus: "The garden party was held to raise funds for the sea cadets building in the naval dockyard.
"The building that they have is in need of a new fire alarm system which costs many hundreds of pounds.
"Quite a few guests attended the party and were hosted by the fantastic service of the sea cadets themselves."
He continued: "My wife Doris and myself were very proud to be invited to such a worthwhile cause and would not have missed it for the world.
"I was so honoured to be able to meet everyone at the event and be able to give a speech to congratulate everyone involved in the organising.
"To see these young cadets perform is a real eye opener and should be awarded for their loyalty and service. Well done to you all."
