Married recently at Monkton Priory Church were Jamie Butland and Sophie Purser.

The groom is the son of Mandy Butland and the late Anthony Butland, of Monkton, while the bride is the daughter of Debbie and Stephen Webb, of Pennar.

The bride, given away by her father, wore a stunning designer white wedding gown with full-length train, complemented by a full-length cathedral train and tiara. She carried a bouquet of red roses.

Bridesmaids were bride's sister Kirstie Purser, Gemma Gulham, Jody Gammer (friends) and groom's sister Lisa-Marie Butland. Flowergirls were Grace Gulham (goddaughter) and Kayla Butland (niece).

Best man was Mr. Johnny Gulham, while ushers were bride's brother Josh Webb, groom's brother Liam Butland and Scott Gammer.

Rev. Paul Nash conducted the service.

The couple spent their honeymoon in Tunisia and have made their home in Monkton.
