Saturday morning saw the members of Lower Landsker Trefoil Guild filling the Scout and Guide Hall with delicious cakes, clever craft items and cheery daffodils as they held their Daffodil Coffee Morning, in aid of The Hall and Broneirion, the Welsh Guide Training Centre.
Those of us who have been Guides or Guiders have all enjoyed the wonderful hospitality at Broneirion in Mid Wales.
Indeed it was probably the favourite place of our late founder, Doreen Hammersley, who, besides attending Guiding events there, also enjoyed many painting holidays with her fellow artists at this beautiful old house.
Sadly, like all old buildings, it is in need of maintenance, so all Guide units and Trefoil Guilds throughout Wales have been asked to do their bit to help keep it going.
Daffodil Coffee Mornings and Tea Parties will, hopefully, be held throughout Wales to raise much needed funds.
The Tenby Daffodil Coffee Morning proved a resounding success with over £300 being raised to divide between the two causes.
Many thanks must go to the members of the committee who not only provided beautiful cakes, craft items and raffle prizes, but also worked hard throughout to ensure that the whole morning went without a hitch.
Special thanks must go to the three young Guides who proved superb waitresses, working efficiently and cheerfully to see that everyone got their coffee on time.
Certainly, it was an example of Girlguiding members of all ages working happily together.
Many thanks to all who supported us in any way, particularly the redoubtable Steps to Health walkers - what wonderful supporters of so many charities they are!
Members are still hoping to continue their Wednesday morning walks as long as they are able, but sadly the Trefoil Wales Annual Meeting, to be held in Barry on April 25 has been cancelled.
All Trefoil members, wherever they are, pray that the current health crisis is soon resolved and that everyone stays safe.
