Over the last few days, local people have been recognised for their contribution to the community.
The former High Sheriff of Dyfed, Sharron Lusher MBE DL should have presented these awards in March, but restrictions at the time meant that presentations were delayed until now.
These awards, presented annually, acknowledge and celebrate the contribution of individuals and organisations to the community. The individuals were nominated by Mary Adams, Assistant District Governor Rotary International in Southern Wales, who thanked and congratulated all involved, together with Rotary Clubs supporting them. Awards have been presented to:
John Llewelyn and Huw Jones, for their contribution to the Living Memories Group in Narberth
Diana Brook – “the Rainbow Fairy” – for raising money for Leukaemia through paintings on windows and doors, brightening up our streets in Narberth
Vince Malone, for his support for charity and providing food parcels during lockdown in Tenby
Dayle Gibby, for his work with Milford Youth Matters
John Hughes, for exceptional charitable fundraising in Pembrokeshire
Clr. Phil Baker BEM, for services to the community around Saundersfoot
Further awards will be presented over the coming days.
