Pembroke Dock community group Encompass is appealing to local landlords and businesses for a new base for the group. The group has unfortunately had to leave its premises in the St. Govan's Centre in Pembroke Dock.

However, chair of the group, Yvonne Earl, remains optimistic: "This is a fresh start for us; we are looking for premises where we can carry on the work we are doing and also share it with other groups."

The group meets Tuesday and Thursday afternoons for social, creative and fundraising activities.

Llanion Communities First development worker Sarah Payne said: "The loss of the shop unit in St. Govan's is a huge blow to Encompass and the community as it had become a hive of activity and a focal point for community cohesion. The town lacks a community centre and its vital that this group finds a new base to carry on the work they are doing with the community in Pembroke Dock."

The group will temporarily be based at the Llanion Communities First Office in 10 Meyrick Street, Pembroke Dock, while new premises are found. If you are able to help or would like to find out more about Encompass, please contact Sarah or Jane at Llanion Communities First on 0845 345 5031.
