Tenby’s Mayor has praised the work of a local charity organisation for the work they do in the community.

Speaking at Tuesday night’s meeting of Tenby town council, Mayor, Clr. Tony Brown told his fellow councillors that he attended the Tenby and District Lions charter dinner at the Giltar Hotel on Friday, and was impressed to learn of the wide range of work that they undertake.

“I hold my head in shame and admit that I didn’t quite know what the Lions did, so to learn of the impressive charitable work they do, has opened my eyes,” he remarked.

“On top of that it was a really enjoyable night from a really goos organisation. I’d recommend that others in the town go and find out more about what the Lions do and if they can help,” added Clr. Brown.
