Pembroke Ladies Lifeboat Guild say they are privileged to have been asked, by the organiser Sian Dureau, to serve Victorian cakes and tea at the Pembroke Dock Bicentenary Digital Heritage Project launch at the Garrison Chapel tomorrow (Saturday).

Cakes and tea will be served in aid of the RNLI.

The event, which features a digital recreation of the dockyard in its heyday (1860s), runs from 10 am to 5 pm.

There is no admission charge.

Pembroke Ladies Guild will be using Victorian recipes from a cookery book called 'Susan's Secrets' by Jenny Kenna.

Susan was Jenny's grandmother and lived and worked in Pembroke in the 1900s.

The day at the Dockyard is going to be a unique presentation of Pembroke Dock's 200-year history, so if your your ancestors lived and worked in Pembroke Dock in the last 200 years or you would like to meet Jenny and learn more, then go along to the event, as the organisers would love to hear from you too.

The event is supported by The Heritage Lottery Fund, De Montfort University, Leicester, Milford Haven Port Authority and the Pembroke Dock Bicentenary Committee.
