Discover the fascinating story of Ye Mary Fortune 1490, a warship of King Henry VII, at a special event at Pembroke Dock Library next week.

?On Wednesday March 8, David James will be discussing his research into ’The Newport Ship’, an important find for maritime history in Wales.

Find out what he discovered from the evidence available, and how medieval images provided the many clues that led to him creating a model of the ship, which is now on display at Pembroke Town Hall.

David James is the secretary of the Pembroke Dock Maritime Heritage Society, and has written a number of books about maritime Wales.

The event starts at 7pm. It is free to attend and no booking is required.
