Pupils at Ysgol y Preseli have been combining IT and art, thanks to a donation of 10 laptops from Valero Pembroke Refinery. The laptops have been donated to Ysgol y Preseli's Art Department, and will be used by AS Level and A Level Art and Photography students, as well as for some GCSE work.
Head teacher Michael Davies, said: "The school is very grateful to Valero for this very kind donation. Our Art Department will be putting these laptops to good use, and they will contribute greatly towards the work being done by both our art and photography students. By being able to utilise greater IT software in their work, it will allow our students to better explore their subjects and to really develop their art and photography skills."
Valero public affairs manager, Stephen Thornton, said: "Valero are once again thrilled to be able to assist one of the schools in our local community. We hope that these laptops will be of great use to pupils and to help them reach their full potential in these subjects, and that they will play a part in Ysgol y Preseli's art and photography studies for many years to come."
