The latest meeting of the full council of Kilgetty, Begelly Community Council took place on October 8 remotely via the medium of Zoom.

Main items discussed were as follows:

• The traffic calming measures in Ryelands Lane have been completed by the Pembrokeshire County Council.

• Pembrokeshire County Council have, following continued correspondence, cut the vegetation back along the pathway in the Miners Field.

• Following the spate of fly tipping on the Miners field the Community Council will be installing CCTV to cover this area. Also during a search of the rubbish tipped – information has been found and passed onto the Pembrokeshire County Council who are making enquiries.

• The double yellow line road and kerb markings have now been completed.

• Rubber meeting is being trailed to see if this resolves the issue of ‘muddy puddles’ in the Kilgetty Play Park.

• The Community Council will be applying for an Enhancing Pembrokeshire Grant to enable play equipment to be installed at the Begelly Play Park and to carry out repairs to Kilgetty Play Park.

• Two electronic tablets will be purchased to enable Councillors to access remote meetings.

20/0462/PA – Heritage Park: The Council will holding a separate meeting to consider this planning application.

20/0462/PA – Land Adjacent to Stepaside School, Discharge of certain conditions: Following discussion and consideration of each Pembrokeshire County Council Planning Authority Imposed Planning Condition – the Community Council will strongly object to the removal of each of these conditions.

The next meeting of the Community Council is scheduled to take place on Thursday, November 12, remotely via the medium of Zoom.
