Sir,

The 'Pembroke Watchman' is factually incorrect to describe the Millpond reedbeds and other new features as disfigurements to our natural environment. He would be warmly welcomed to join the tireless volunteers enhancing our local biodiversity and removing litter.

He would learn that the 'plant debris' is food and home to Pembroke's wildlife. Yes, nature is not always neat and tidy. Sometimes it can even be muddy. The reeds do not stand in regimental rows. The newly attracted wildfowl have the most disgusting eating habits and horrifying sexual morals.

David Wall,

Hywel Way,

Pembroke.
