Sir,
In response to Roger Davies’s letter re A477 junction with Pembroke.
I live in Milton and use the A477 daily and I have been very concerned about the junction despite so called improvements... .it’s even more dangerous than before
If one is pulling onto the A477 to travel east then the central reservation road markings are very confusing, especially for visitors.
Firstly, there should be a stop sign and not a give way and secondly when looking left it can appear to drivers unused to the junction that one has right of way from the central reservation.
I have seen cars and lorries drive straight through onto the A477 without giving way causing many near misses... the central reservation appears almost as an optical illusion
A roundabout is the only answer... or indeed traffic control.
Something needs to be done quickly, drivers are either deliberately or carelessly ignoring the speed of the traffic on the main road.
It’s unacceptable spending money on this junction to make it more dangerous
