Tenby resident Joan Santo celebrated her 100th birthday with a party at her home in Paxton Court this week. 

Her family had celebrated this special birthday event which fell on St. David’s Day, and family, friends and neighbours attended the party the following day. Joan received a 100th Birthday card from Her Majesty the Queen.

Joan moved to Tenby five years ago to be near to her daughter, and she enjoys living overlooking the sea.  She finds the local people to be very friendly and very kind.  Joan has lived a very busy life: raising two children, joining the Auxiliary Territorial Service during the war, and travelling around Europe. 

Joan’s birthday was completed with a lovely sand art message on the North Beach wishing her a happy birthday!
