In the lead up to Christmas, an exciting new charity event was held in Pembroke last weekend - a festive fun run around the town.

Organised by the Friends of Golden Grove School, in conjunction with Pembroke Castle and the town council, the ‘Jingle Jog’ proved to be a fantastic community event, with entrants dressed up as Christmas characters taking on a festive run through the town’s Main Street, starting and finishing at Pembroke Castle

Golden Grove headmaster Andrew Williams said it was hoped the event, which attracted 150 entrants, would become an annual attraction in the town.

The Jingle Jog, led by Pembroke Mayor Pauline Waters and town crier Rose Blackburn, saw many festive entrants, including reindeers, elves and even Christmas presents take part, with prizes awarded for the best fancy dress.
