She led the way for old timers at the recent sausage dog walk in the resort, by being the oldest entrant, and last Saturday celebrated her 18th birthday (making her 126 years old in dog years!).

“We didn’t think she would go this long after we lost her ‘dad’ - my grandfather Ted Morton in 2010, however she has surprised us all and was featured in your paper during the sausage dog walk in Tenby at the start of the year, so we wanted to share with you all and all those that attended the walk that Tico did in fact make her 18th birthday!” said Andrea Thomas.

Tico spent the day cosy and cwtched in the warm in Newell Hill with one of her ‘mummies’ Diane Morton who she lives with and her other ‘mummy’ and her very own personal nurse from Fenton Vets, Rose Kelly, who looks after her health. Rose and Diane are Ted’s daughters.

My nan and grandad would be so pleased that she made her 18th birthday - a milestone I think you’ll agree,”?continued Andrea.

“We are so blessed to have her in the family, she’s an absolute sweetheart!” she added.
