Pictured is Sophie Merrix who has travelled with Christian relief agency Tear Fund, in conjunction with ICS (International Citizen Service), to work with mothers and children living on the streets of Bolivia.
The photographs show her working with members of a local evangelical church who spend time every week washing children's hair.
"Sophie is discovering just how poor some people really are and how the smallest acts of kindness can make a huge difference in their lives.
"Like the others, she has discovered the challenges that come from eating a very different diet, but she is having a fantastic time and has been so encouraged by the happiness the kids seem to enjoy in spite of their extreme poverty.
"I am thrilled Sophie is doing this; it's the sort of adventure that every young adult would benefit from. I am sure she will return a transformed young woman and we will be all the better for it. I hope her faith will inspire others to do something similar. Her experience is exposing the lie that Christianity is boring and irrelevant."
