THE new exhibition Linda Thompson - Tenby Enchanted and Bill Thompson - It’s All Subjective, a joint show by husband and wife artists, was officially opened at Tenby Museum and Art Gallery on Saturday by well-known local businessman Laurie Dale.

In his opening speech, Laurie welcomed everyone to the exhibition of paintings by the very talented Linda and Bill Thompson.

“It gives me great pleasure to open the show as I have been a fan of Linda’s work for so long and Bill’s work, seen here in his first exhibition, is also wonderful,” he said. “Linda’s work focuses mainly on Tenby, but it is not the traditional views, and instead concentrates on details that we may all well have missed and opens our eyes to see familiar views in new ways. Bill’s work is more abstract and geometric and he finds the act of painting therapeutic and hopes that the work will bring a smile to the face of the viewer.

“So look and enjoy the works of Linda and Bill, two very different styles from two very lovely people. And make sure that Bill gets his smile.”

The sales exhibition runs until Sunday, May 7.
