It’s no longer easy to find festive cards which reflect the real meaning of Christmas.

But there are plenty of Yule cards which do just that now on sale in St. Mary’s Church, Tenby.

Though not every card has a religious them. There are a few other designs, too.

The cards are designed and sold by Christian Aid, one of the UK’s largest charities.

All the proceeds goes to starving families in desperately deprived parts of the world.

In 2014, St. Mary’s sale of Christmas cards raised £1,300. Charity organisers hope to improve on this total this time round.

Tenby’s secretary of Christian Aid, Malcolm Stacey, said: “Cards showing religious themes can be overshadowed by designs showing cute snowmen, robins and reindeers.

“They may be very nice, but we aim to reflect the real meaning of Christmas.”

He added: “Sometimes religious cars are rather dull. But we like to think ours are imaginative and artistic.”
