A report on Tenby’s ‘walk in’ medical service centre is set to be discussed this month.
Speaking at Tuesday night’s meeting of Tenby town council, Clr. Mrs. Caroline Thomas, who is also secretary of the South East Pembrokeshire Community Health Network, told her colleagues that a report from the ‘walk in’ centre’s ‘implementation group’ would be put to the Health Board at a meeting in Carmarthen on November 9.
The nurse led walk in service where patients are able to see an Emergency Nurse Practitioner who will provide care and treatment directly or refer the patient to other services as necessary, is run at Tenby Cottage Hospital on Gas Lane.
“I’m very pleased with the positivity of the report, and we’ll keep our fingers crossed for the future of the service. It will be interesting too find out what there Health Board think,” she added.
