EXERCISE MORE - Diarise: Treat your training like a meeting at work or a dental appointment. Put it in your diary and get to the point.
Don’t go alone: Train with a friend or partner and we’re doubling our accountability. We may not be in the mood to train, but we’re less likely to back out, if we’re letting someone down.
Have a Plan B: Give ourselves options. Call it the ‘If-Then’ plan. For example, if training for a marathon and it is icy and dangerous underfoot, don’t just drop the workout, have an option for an alternative training session, maybe indoors. Flexibility is key.
Beat someone: We’re all a bit competitive! Many apps are compatible with GPS devices, so runners and cyclists can compare efforts with other users and even pro-athletes.
