During the school holidays last week, the Tanyard Youth Project in Pembroke ran a total of 30 hours of activities in which they enjoyed over 200 contacts with young people.
This included a three-day art project to create a giant medieval puppet for the Pembroke Festival parade in partnership with Space to Create and Pembroke 21C.
The other major highlight was a visit from the Ethic Youth Support Team (EYST) in Swansea to promote greater social cohesion and understanding of different cultures and the differences between urban and rural living.
This project was carried out in partnership with the Community Safety Partnership and supported by the local Neighbourhood Police Team.
Young people from both projects enjoyed a full day of activities at the Bluestone National Park Resort before returning to the Tanyard for a fun-packed evening of activities, including cooking, dodge ball and sumo suit wrestling.
