A grant scheme to help with the renovation of commercial properties in the conservation areas of Pembroke and Pembroke Dock is proving popular.
Since its launch in August last year, 14 grant offers have been accepted - seven from each town.
The total grant funding awarded to date is £647,609 which, in turn, has attracted a total of £944,510 private sector investment.
Improvements are currently underway at commercial properties on Main Street, Pembroke, and in Dimond Street, Meyrick Street and Bush Street in Pembroke Dock.
Pembrokeshire County Council's cabinet member for regeneration, Clr. David Pugh, said he was delighted with the success of the scheme.
"It will hopefully have a significant impact on the fabric of both towns and ultimately contribute to an increase in economic activity" he added.
Grants can be obtained for external and internal structural and fabric repair, the restoration of architectural heritage detail and the reuse of vacant floor space.
The level of assistance varies according to the work.
While there is a limited amount of funding now available, if you are a commercial property owner based in the conservation area of Pembroke and would like more details about the Commercial Property Grant Scheme, contact Melissa Howells on 01437 776180.

The scheme is funded by the European Regional Development Fund through the Welsh Government and is part of a £3.2 million EU-backed scheme to revitalise and restore the rich heritage of Pembroke and Pembroke Dock.
