Sir,

Goodwick Brass Band, whose magnificent achievements in the past few years have been well covered by your newspaper, is looking forward to celebrating a special anniversary next year, 2017.

To celebrate the landmark of 30 years since its revival in 1987, the band is planning to publish a commemorative book looking back at its new start, its changing personnel and venues, its fine concert record and, of course, its extraordinary rise to the top level of British brass band competition.

Many of your readers will have been members of the band in the past three decades or been associated with its development in one way or another.

If anyone has any reminiscences, photographs, concert programmes or other items of memorabilia which might enhance the book, we would be grateful if they could contact us as soon as possible.

Goodwick Brass Band has become one of Pembrokeshire’s proudest ambassadors and we hope the many people in the county or elsewhere who have had an association with the band will help us to chronicle this amazing story.

If you can contribute, please contact the band’s chairman Tony Evans on…
