Sir,
Can I please, through the medium of the Tenby Observer, thank the kind and thoughtful man who reported to the local police station, the car driver who hit and damaged our car, parked outside St. Johns, and then drove away.
Without his anonymous help, we would have had to pay for repairs to our car, and felt a great deal of bitterness and anger.
However, the police traced the owner through the registration number, presumably notified to them by the observer of the incident, and the matter is now being resolved. The driver said she ‘didn’t realise she had hit our car.’
If our anonymous helper would like to identify himself to us [contact the Observer for telephone number], we would be happy to reward him with a small gift. In any case, many thanks for a timely intervention and a good citizen deed.
Peter Neate,
Tenby.
