Tenby Arts Festival Window Dressing Competition has been going from strength to strength since it began four years ago.
It is a great way for local businesses - shops, offices, restaurants and cafés - to be part of the festival. They are invited to decorate the front window displays picking up a theme from the festival.
It all makes the town take on a festive air during that last week of September when autumn takes over from winter and the summer visitors are leaving, except those who are eager to come to Tenby Arts Festival, which takes place from September 23 - 30.
The Arts Festival has had some brilliant entries, including the chocolate shop in Lower Frog Street - they sculpted a bust of the sculptor Rodin completely in chocolate. Each year a winner is chosen and two runners-up.
There are cash prizes and, of course, the attendant publicity, as the competition is reported on our website and in the local press.
Finally, here is a message for all those Tenby businesses - take a look at Tenby Arts Festival brochure, which is available at the De Valence and all local libraries or alternatively online at www.tenbyartsfest.co.uk and get your imagination working and join in the fun.
