Sir,

I am appealing to your readers to volunteer for Marie Curie’s Great Daffodil Appeal in February and March, to help people living with a terminal illness and their loved ones in West Wales.

We’re asking people to ‘get behind the daffodil’ by giving a couple of hours of their time to volunteer for the appeal this February and March. All they need to do is encourage people to give a donation in return for a daffodil pin. Our past volunteers have said it’s a fun way to do something rewarding and meet others from their community at the same time.

Volunteering for the Great Daffodil Appeal - now in its 30th year - will help Marie Curie Nurses provide care and support for people living with a terminal illness in their own homes or at the Marie Curie Hospice in Penarth, so they can spend more time with the people they love.

If you’re able to volunteer some time to help, then please phone me on 01554 759 071, email me at [email protected] or visit www.mariecurie.org.uk/daffodil.
