For his outstanding achievements within the Tenderfoot Team of the Rotary Club of Saundersfoot, as well as for his excellent work in recently gaining his Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award, Geraint Lewis is seen here happily receiving the ‘Martin Goodal Memorial Shield of Honour’ for his fine efforts during the past year from President John Walker Smith.

Geraint has been a member of Tenderfoot for 15 years since the age of six. He trains regularly at the Regency Hall on a Friday evening, and participates with many of his fellow team members at the Annual Welsh National Disabled Sports Event held at Newport Leisure Centre every November.

The Tenderfoot Team organiser and leader Rotarian Charles Hopkinson has been involved in the training of disabled athletes for over 28 years and is justifiably proud of the teams outstanding success at the National Welsh sports event.

All Rotarians are supportive in team training and are pleased with this presentation being made to Geraint.
